Musical adventures photographs

The three photographs in public/images/music/ were supplied by Diego Volpatto for the “Musical adventures” page and are copied without changes. diego-baixo-vocal.jpg retains the visible Dennis Teixeira credit; the page repeats it in the caption. The supplied files for diego-baixo-palco.jpg and diego-no-palco.jpg have no identified photographer credit. No date, venue or band is inferred from the images. These photographs are excluded from the site’s general CC BY and MIT grants; inclusion does not grant additional reuse rights.

Interface icons and language flags

All icon assets are served locally. The upstream licenses do not imply endorsement or grant additional trademark rights.

Scientific figures

public/images/research/voids-darcy-brinkman.png

Unchanged copy of docs/assets/mms/vug_2d_darcy_brinkman_velocity_magnitude.png from the author’s local voids checkout. Published example and context: synthetic 2D Darcy–Brinkman flow with circular cavities, Taylor–Hood P2/P1 elements. No new simulations or visual modifications were made for the website.

The upstream repository contains an LGPL 2.1 software license. A separate open license for this figure has not been established here; a software license is not assumed to license every generated scientific output. This site grants no additional license over the figure. Consult the source project for applicable terms.

public/images/research/gibbsflashnn-calibration.png

Rendered from article/figs/experimental_calibration_binary_curves_part1.pdf in gibbsflashnn-supporting-material. The original caption was checked in article/tex/main/05-results-and-discussion.tex: methanol + benzene at 318.15 K; Balance-Preserving FlashNN and GibbsFlashNN before/after experimental calibration. Curves, data, scales and legend were preserved in conversion from PDF to PNG.

The source project’s THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md expressly distinguishes manuscript/figure assets from software. Its BSD 3-Clause software license is not applied to this image. No new CC BY or MIT grant is made for it by this website.

Maurício Prado de Omena Souza, Diego Tavares Volpatto, Antonio Marinho Barbosa Neto and Mariana Conceição da Costa, “Modeling flash points of biofuels using thermodynamically consistent neural networks,” Fluid Phase Equilibria 605, 114673 (2026). DOI: 10.1016/j.fluid.2026.114673.

Copyright © The Authors 2026. Published by Elsevier B.V. under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International, as stated on the first page of the supplied article. Figure 3 on PDF page 5 was extracted in full from its embedded image at the original 1505 × 1001 pixel resolution. No changes were made to the figure, its equations, arrows or labels. The figure depicts a neural flash-point model with the Liaw-equation residual and external vapor-pressure/activity-coefficient models entering the training loss. Attribution belongs to all four article authors, not solely to the website owner.

The SciML description also draws on the ODML study by Kyas et al. (2022), the GibbsFlashNN supporting material and the torch-flash documentation. It distinguishes learning on demand from neural thermodynamic models and does not equate a reduced physical residual with improved predictive accuracy or a global-equilibrium guarantee. The 2026 flash-point article reports that adding physical constraints did not systematically improve predictive RMSE; no universal accuracy or speed-up claim is made on the website.

Downloadable CV

public/files/cv-diego-volpatto-2026.pdf is generated from the author’s Lattes export, internally updated 23 August 2026. It is excluded from this site’s general editorial-text grant. No additional license for the document as a whole is granted by this notice. The underlying XML/ZIP and LinkedIn PDF are not distributed with the website.

The original source export and third-party publication/thesis titles are not relicensed by converting them to a new layout. Factual information is not made subject to new restrictions by these notices.

Academic genealogy

The diagrams and accompanying editorial explanations are original presentations under the website’s CC BY 4.0 content license. The selected factual relationships, source URLs and research notes are maintained in conteudo/genealogia.yaml and included in the downloadable JSON. No source website, biography, institutional logo or portrait is reproduced in these diagrams. The cited databases and documents retain their own rights; citation does not relicense their contents.

The dataset distinguishes recorded doctoral supervision, historical study or mentorship, and disputed attributions. In particular, the paths through Klein and Bruns depend on the MGP attribution for Föppl, which is not confirmed by the Deutsche Biographie account. The diagrams do not claim an uninterrupted sequence of formal doctorates, and collateral connections are not presented as ancestors.

Graphviz is used through the build-only @viz-js/viz dependency to lay out the standalone SVGs. Its software and dependency licenses remain separate from the original diagram content. No Graphviz runtime is delivered to site visitors.

Fonts

The webfont binaries bundled into the generated site retain the OFL; they are not relicensed under MIT or CC BY. The font notices are served with the static site under licenses/.
